The house
Warranty and care
This page is a draft. The re-coating service, the nine bench checks and the care guidance below are settled. The warranty term for manufacturing defects is being confirmed before the house opens for orders.
Re-coating, free, for as long as you own it
Plating wears. Anything worn against skin and cloth every day loses its coating at the edges eventually, and a house that told you otherwise would be selling you a sentence rather than a jewel.
So Sidiore re-coats its own work free of charge, for as long as it is yours. Send it back and it is cleaned, re-plated and returned. There is no limit on how often, and it does not expire.
Manufacturing defects
A stone that comes loose, a clasp that fails, a solder that opens — anything that is a fault of the making rather than of wear — is repaired free, or replaced where it cannot be repaired. Write to contact@sidiore.com and we arrange the collection.
Damage from an accident, from alteration by another jeweller, or from ordinary wear is not a defect. We will still repair it, and we will quote before we do anything.
Nine checks before anything leaves
Every creation is inspected against the same list:
- metal purity
- dimensional accuracy
- surface finish
- stone security
- clasp functionality
- polishing quality
- plating consistency
- engraving accuracy
- packaging inspection
Made for sensitive skin
Sidiore designs nickel-free. Nickel in common alloys is the usual cause of a reaction to jewellery, and the house was started partly because of it. This is a statement of how the work is designed, not a medical claim and not a test result — third-party testing is being introduced as production scales, and until it exists nothing on this site presents one.
Looking after it
- Put it on last, after scent, cream and hairspray, and take it off first.
- Keep it out of chlorinated water and away from household cleaners.
- Wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing. No dips, no chemical cleaners.
- Store each creation separately, dry, and out of direct sun.
- Take it off for sport, for sleep, and for anything that involves a grip.
Ask us first
If you are unsure about a repair, a resize or a stone, write to contact@sidiore.com before you take it elsewhere. Work done by another bench is the one thing that ends the guarantee, and we would rather do it ourselves.
